LES Allen jnr could have the next British light-middleweight champion in his stable.

Top promoter Frank Maloney this week confirmed Concepcion will challenge Sam Webb for the title at a venue in London on Saturday, October 16, in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

Concepcion joined Allen jnr after parting with Frank Warren and the Coventry manager and promoter has steered the Leicester boxer to the brink of a major championship.

He currently holds the Midlands Area title - winning the vacant belt by outpointing Max Maxwell at the city's Hilton Hotel last December - and Allen jnr is now hoping he will become the first boxer he has managed to win British honours.

Neil Tidman from Bedworth became Allen jnr's first professional champion when he won the Midlands Area super-middleweight belt with a points win over Jonjo Finnegan in March 2007 and he also steered Concepcion's brother, Kevin, to the British Masters middleweight championship.

Allen jnr's next show at the Hilton Hotel will feature the professional debuts of his two latest signings.

Light-heavyweight Sean Sinnnott, a rugged, exciting left hooker who boxed as an amateur with Coventry Boys ABC, will box on the bill on Saturday, December 4, along with Liam Daly.

As an amateur with Northampton's successful Kingsthorpe ABC, Daly twice reached the final of the ABA Novice championship and last season he won the British Universities title before deciding to punch for pay.
